Hedyotis Extract
Hedyotis capitellata
Hedyotis (dạ cẩm) is a scrambling shrub that twines up through other plants to one or two metres, its cylindrical stems swelling at each node. The leaves are simple and untoothed, in opposite pairs, oval and pointed, five to fifteen centimetres long and shortly stalked. Small white tubular flowers gather in forked cymes that bunch into balls at the branch tips and leaf axils, followed by tiny fruits in the same round heads. Two forms are gathered, one purple-stemmed and hairy, one green-stemmed; either the whole plant or just leaves and shoot tips is taken. It belongs to the coffee family, and also goes by the name đất lượt.
