Jasminum Leaf Extract
Jasminum subtriplinerve
Chè vằng (Jasminum subtriplinerve) is a climbing shrub of the jasmine family that grows wild the length of Vietnam, and in the north in Hòa Bình, Thái Bình, Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An and Hà Tĩnh. It scrambles through hedges and bamboo clumps or climbs into larger trees, its jointed stems standing a metre or so high and running fifteen to twenty metres long, set with pointed, three-veined leaves and clusters of small white flowers. The leaves are the part gathered, picked through the year and used fresh or dried for keeping, then boiled or steeped in hot water as an everyday drink.
